The American Heart Association

The American Heart Association (AHA) is a nationwide voluntary health organization composed of science and lay volunteers. The AHA has grown rapidly in size and influence, nationally and internationally, into an organization of more than 33 million volunteers and supporters dedicated to improving heart health and reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Buc Days

Since 1938, the Buccaneer Commission, a non-profit organization has annually staged the Buccaneer Days festival in Corpus Christi in support of bringing entertaining, educational, and cultural events to the Coastal Bend. Beginning in 1996, proceeds from Buc Days have been awarded to students as college scholarships. The Buccaneer Commission through its annual events raises funds to support education in the Coastal Bend. To date, the Commission has awarded over $1 million in scholarships and grants.

Kiwanis

Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Local clubs look out for our communities and the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty. For more than a century, Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe, and health regardless of the community in which they live. Kiwanis is a global organization or volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC)

The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) aims to be the premier advocate for Texas Hispanic Businesses, leading the driving force of our emerging economy. TAMACC promotes wealth creation through advocacy, commerce, and leadership. Today the association consists of 18 local Hispanic chambers of commerce and business organizations throughout Texas, representing over 700,000 Hispanic businesses from a wide spectrum of industries.
